Sing Any Song is a karaoke web app and companion Chrome extension. This page explains exactly what data is and isn't handled. In short: we don't collect personal information, we don't use ads or trackers, and we never sell data.

The Chrome extension (Sing Any Song Pitch Shifter)

• Its only purpose is to shift the key (pitch) of your current browser tab's audio in real time, so you can sing in a comfortable key.
• Audio is captured and processed entirely on your own device using the browser's Web Audio API. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
• It activates only on the tab where you click its icon, and only while you use it.
• It does not read your browsing history, cookies, passwords, or any personal data, and it requests no more permissions than this feature needs.
• The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The website

• Search queries you type are sent to our server solely to return relevant karaoke results. They are never linked to your identity.
• A random, anonymous identifier is stored in your browser (local storage) to improve result ranking — for example, learning which karaoke track for a song people prefer to sing. It is not a personal identifier and is never sold or shared.
• We do not require accounts, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information.
• Sing Any Song uses YouTube API Services to display and play karaoke tracks, and retrieves lyrics from third-party lyric providers. By using this website, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.

Data sharing & retention

• We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• Anonymous interaction counts are used solely to operate and improve the service and may be cleared at any time.
